One 4 The Kids Character Lunch
We recently had the pleasure of being invited along to One 4 The Kids Princess & Superhero Lunch at Browns Bar & Brasserie in Glasgow and it was a wonderful experience.
We were welcomed with some refreshments in the main bar area before being shown to our seats downstairs in a dining area. We had pre-ordered our food but as tricky as dining with little ones can be my daughter decided she no longer wanted what she ordered, however the staff were lovely and very accommodating and happily changed it for her.
The food itself was delicious, well presented and portion sizes were great too, but lets get to the exciting part that all the kids where waiting for - The arrival of Cinderella & Iron Man...
Gasps and little wide eyed faces filled the room as the kids spotted the characters making their entrance. The characters come from an organisation - Wish Upon A Star Entertainment - that we highly recommend as their attention to detail, not only with the costumes but in their performance of portraying the characters persona they are adopting for the day is remarkable. They never break character and are very committed to the part.
Both characters made their way around the tables interacting with every single one of the children, posing for photos and showing a genuine interest in each of the childrens stories that they where sharing with them.
Once we had finished eating it was time for some games! We played Musical Statues, Music Bumps and then Cinderella read the kids a story - There was even a colouring competition which the kids could take part in with the colouring sheets provided (great idea to keep them busy while waiting on their food & for the Characters to arrive)
Cinderella & Iron Man handed out prizes to the winners of each game - again the prizes where fab! There was a face painter also present (for a small charge) but we where quite happy with the entertainment and chose not to do the face painting.
I highly recommend these dining experiences if your kids have a favourite character they wish to meet. The events allow 1-2-1 interaction with their favourite character for a magical experience and the setting in the restaurant and the pace of the event is also ideal for catching up with friends should you wish to make a day of it together.
One 4 The Kids are doing a great job of bringing that magical character dining experience to Scotland and giving families the chance to experience it at a very small fraction of the cost that it would be to travel for these experiences, with that they are also making experiences like this accessible for those who cannot travel to fulfil such wishes.
