Project Elf at Glasgow Fort!

We have had a fab time Christmas shopping at Glasgow Fort recently - its our go to place on a very regular basis, so when they asked us once again to share their festive fun with you all we couldn't wait!

#ProjectElf is this years theme and includes Elves (real and soft toys) hidden all over Glasgow Fort - The aim is to find the Elves to be in with the chance of unlocking some treats! So what kind of treats could you be in for? .... well for starters to be in with a chance of winning £250 of shopping vouchers all you have to do is take an 'Elfie' with them and post it with the hashtag #ElfAtGlasgowFort - this includes elfies with the real life Elves who have come all the way from the North Pole!

The real life Elves will be at Glasgow Fort in the run up to Christmas now including during the midnight shopping hours which will run from 16th-23rd Dec - now I did say you could unlock some treats if you find the Elves so keep your eyes peeled for them and they may just have a little surprise for you, although you may have to teach them to dance or tell them a joke first! The Elves will also be carrying out random acts of kindness too which is sooo nice - things like this always make me feel warm and fuzzy at this time of year 😍

There is also the return of the German Christmas Market & The Carousel this year which is located just outside Argos where you can enjoy some delicious food and shop for some amazing locally sourced gifts and stocking fillers. There is also a dart game where you can win GIANT bars of chocolate - unfortunately Roberts aim didn't quite cut it for us but the mini dutch pancakes sorted the chocolate cravings right out!

Now lets talk about shopping ...There is a fabulous range of shops here so you are pretty much guaranteed to be able to find something for everyone. Some of our favourites include: Boots - I'm a big lover of Clinque skincare and they always have amazing deals on especially at Christmas - well this year they had a brilliant deal - spend £40 and get an incredible gift bag full of full size products for just £49.50 - this was only while stocks last so if your lucky you may be able to make a quick dash for it before they sell out!

There is quite a new shop opened called Hawkins Bazaar and it is the perfect place to find a quirky gift or a gift for a gadget lover -its also the ideal place if you have a Harry Potter fan or Funko Pop fan on your list!

The Calendar Shop has also opened to make sure you don't forget those all important calendars & diaries for 2020!

So what about toys? Well our go to places are usually Smyths & The Disney Store so you can imagine my delight when another pop up Disney Store opened in the Autumn - My husband has no excuses! (well I never said the Disney Store option was for the kids did I?)

Smyths has a massive range from Leapfrog baby and toddler toys to computer consoles & games, from Pokemon to LoL Suprise, from Lego to Our Generation and from Barbie to Star Wars and I always seem to find a bargain here or at least really competitive prices compared to some other toy retailers!

The Disney Store of course has all you need for Frozen 2 fans and kids can also write a letter to Santa here if they haven't already done so!

Now what do you get someone who is impossible to buy for? You know what they like but you just cant seem to find the right gift for them? Well why not get them a Glasgow Fort Gift Card - and don't worry if you have left it to the last minute you can also buy them online - just click here

We recently discovered that the gift card can also be used in the Vue Cinema as well as many of the restaurants - so even if they don't have anything in particular to spend it on they can have the option to treat themself to a nice wee night out instead!

Finally i wanted to mention that Glasgow Fort has also been collecting in donations for Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas which is a gift appeal that supports children suffering hardship and poverty in Glasgow and surrounding regions to make sure every child has a gift on Christmas Day - so a huge thank you to everyone who supported this and if you wish to find out more about the organisation please click here.

So what are you waiting for - you still have a few days left of midnight shopping to get the last of your Christmas shopping done - but make sure you save some energy for the Boxing day and January sales!!!

A huge thank you to Glasgow Fort for having us once again we had a fab time shopping and joining in the festive fun together!
